About Aakif
I bring a unique combination of academic excellence, real-world research, and entrepreneurial innovation to every lesson. I’ve published two peer-reviewed research papers and was the youngest member of India’s first quantum computing team at TIFR, where I helped develop a 7-qubit quantum computer and engineered software systems for quantum control, signal translation, and spectroscopy. I also founded Quantasphere, a startup focused on developing cutting-edge, trustless secure communication systems using quantum phenomena such as entanglement and quantum key distribution. My background spans quantum computing, astrophysics, and biostatistics, and I hold a degree in Computer Science from Durham University. Ranked in the top 0.05% nationally in the IIT-JEE Advanced exam—taken by over 2 million students—I understand the rigour required to excel in science and mathematics. But beyond my qualifications, teaching is my passion. I find deep fulfilment in helping students develop intuition, curiosity, and confidence in problem-solving. Whether you're preparing for school exams, aiming for university admissions, or just eager to truly understand the subject, I'm here to guide and support your journey.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that the sciences cannot simply be memorised—they must be understood and felt. I aim to develop a student’s intuition and curiosity, encouraging them to view mathematics and physics not as isolated facts, but as elegant, interconnected frameworks that explain the world around us. To achieve this, I use a visual and experiential approach: I create custom simulations, interactive demonstrations, and graphical explanations that help students grasp difficult concepts from the ground up. Whether it’s the beauty of Maxwell’s equations or the logic behind integrals, I aim to make abstract ideas tangible and exciting. Once the foundational understanding is built, the focus shifts to problem-solving skills. I train students not just to solve questions but to think like scientists and mathematicians. We dissect problems, identify patterns, and explore strategies for approaching questions with confidence and creativity. I believe problem-solving is 90% about how you frame and approach the problem—and that’s the mindset I instil. My lessons typically last 1 to 2 hours, depending on the student’s pace and goals. Each session is followed by optional practice assignments, thought experiments, or short essays, encouraging reflection and application. I also offer structured revision plans and mentoring support, particularly for students preparing for competitive university entrance exams. With over three years of dedicated tutoring experience, I specialise in teaching Mathematics and Physics to students from diverse academic backgrounds. I graduated from Durham University with a degree in Computer Science and ranked in the top 0.05% nationwide in the IIT-JEE Advanced exam—one of the most competitive and rigorous tests globally, written by over two million students annually. I’ve taught and mentored 15+ students from a rural school in India, guiding them through high school curriculum, exam preparation, and university applications. Many of my students went on to receive offers from prestigious universities such as University College London, King’s College, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, and several top U.S. institutions. I provide comprehensive and engaging lessons tailored to each student’s pace and goals, whether in person or online. Testimonials and admission letters are available upon request. If you're looking for high-quality, results-driven tutoring in Maths or Physics, I’m here to help you succeed. My lessons are ideal for students from Year 8 to Year 12, including GCSE, A-level, and IB students, as well as undergraduates in Physics, Computer Science, and Mathematics. Whether you're looking to build a strong foundation, ace your exams, or pursue university-level studies, I tailor each lesson to your needs, pace, and ambitions. Testimonials and offer letters are available on request.
