About Cliff

Cliff has been playing drums for over a decade in many different styles including rock, funk, jazz, and blues. He attended the acclaimed Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Cliff teaches privately, as well as working at multiple School of Rocks. He plays in multiple bands that perform live and release music regularly. And if you didn't think he did too much already - he also taught and arranged for competitive marching bands for 3 years.

He approaches drumming with a philosophy of freedom and expression. He tries to share his wisdom through each lesson, giving his students the skills and knowledge to level up their drumming skills.

About the lesson

Cliff uses an assortment of both academic and real-world material that he teaches to ensure a well-rounded education. He teaches concepts that are often overlooked in most traditional lessons. Cliff will teach you not only what to play and how to play it, but also how to practice efficiently so that you can keep improving long after you leave his mentorship.

Cliff can teach how to read, write, and interpret music as a language. He is able to focus on the fundamental aspects of drumming and take you step by step through processes he has used personally in order to reach the next level of musicality.

Perfect! Cliff is a great musician and an excellent teacher. He has a lot of patience, especially with children, explaining even the most difficult things calmly and very well.
