About Christopher

As a Neurodiverse practitioner, my approach to teaching and artistic practice is deeply influenced by my ability to empathise with and understand a broad range of student needs and abilities. This perspective allows me to create a teaching environment that is flexible, compassionate, and tailored to each individual student. Through my experience, I’ve learned how to adapt my lessons to different ways of thinking, learning, and creating.

Whether you’re a visual learner, someone who thinks more abstractly, or need extra support to develop confidence and clarity in your work, I create an inclusive, supportive learning experience that meets you exactly where you are. With over 10 years of teaching experience at some of the world’s most prestigious art and design institutions, I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages—from high school students just beginning their artistic journey to adult learners looking to refine their skills.

Currently teaching at Central Saint Martins, one of the world’s leading creative institutions, I am deeply committed to pushing the boundaries of art and design education. My teaching philosophy centres around helping students discover their instinctive creative voices through experimental drawing techniques. I believe in the power of intuitive creation, where students are encouraged to move beyond traditional methods, tap into their creativity, and embrace innovative approaches to drawing. This process empowers them to build a strong personal style while gaining the technical skills necessary to express their ideas confidently.

In my lessons, we’ll focus on intuition-driven design—moving beyond traditional, formulaic methods and embracing a more personal, organic approach to creating fashion. Designing with intuition: You’ll learn how to trust your instincts in the design process, whether you’re sketching new ideas or creating full garments. Exploring fabric and silhouette: Through hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how to experiment with different materials, shapes, and textures to create unique and bold designs. Breaking traditional boundaries: My approach challenges you to explore unconventional forms, colours, and patterns, encouraging designs that reflect your own artistic vision.

He provides clear directives and routes through projects. He encourages creative brainstorming to yield more expansive work. One of the most important lessons I have learned is to accept the result when it does not turn out the way I expected it and decipher what I would do differently next time. I met chris a few years ago in a costume design workshop, the relevance and the way he taught inspired me a lot. so I continued to work with him for more than a year by skype, where he taught me methods of drapping, cutting as well as hat and costume design. I also had drawings lessons with him. He has a great way of addressing the subject of the drawing, passes through many different channels and working logical and relevant, how to draw material where a movement express the sensation that we feel and perfect agreement with the forms and movements we see.
