About Yasmin
As a violin tutor with over 7 years of experience and a BM in Jazz Violin Studies, I’ve dedicated my teaching to performance readiness and audition success. My background spans solo, chamber, and orchestral music, giving students a wide range of expertise. I focus on helping high school performers, conservatory musicians, and competition entrants refine their craft. Lessons emphasize advanced repertoire, interpretation, and the confidence needed for auditions. Stage presence is a major part of my teaching, as I guide students in presenting themselves with poise. Mock auditions and performance exercises are key tools I use to prepare learners. I believe that every student can learn to play with both technical precision and emotional conviction. My approach blends structure with encouragement, helping students stay motivated. Over the years, I’ve seen students grow from talented learners into successful audition candidates. I provide tailored strategies that meet individual needs and goals. Whether tackling tone, bowing, or phrasing, we work step by step toward mastery. In teaching violin, my focus is on making music both skillful and creative. Students practice bowing, tone, and technique, but also create their own melodies. We work on arranging songs, composing original pieces, and even trying unusual sounds. This approach keeps music fresh and personal. I believe the violin should reflect the player’s imagination. For adults seeking confidence, lessons are encouraging and structured. For creative learners, I give space and tools to build their ideas. Lessons mix technique with creative freedom. Improvisation, guided exercises, and feedback all shape the process. I want students to feel both skilled and expressive. Each learner is supported in their journey to find their own voice. The violin becomes a way to tell personal stories through sound. With me, every student learns to compose their own violin journey.
