About Lyud

Being a young, aspiring actor, I have a constant pulse on the acting industry, therefore all of my knowledge and approaches are extremely current and up to date. Despite my young age I have made sure to maintain an active work ethic in the acting industry during my training and enhance my skill set in a number of various areas - teaching, writing and directing.

I am passionate about this industry and I am extremely keen on bringing more people in it and making them fall in love with Acting, just like my teachers did for me. My aim is to show you that despite what people say, this can be a very rewarding and enjoyable process if you learn how to manoeuvre through it correctly.

My directing credits vary both in screen and stage. I have starred and directed in the original play "Soulmate" which had a very successful run at Edinburgh Fringe and also written and directed multiple shorts, the most recent one "The Chronicles of the Struggling Actor" beginning production later this year.

As an actor I have starred in multiple independent features and numerous shorts many of which have screened at festivals such as BFI London Film Festival, BUFF, London Film Week and others. Most recently you can see me in "Donkey Dust" coming out on Amazon Prime.

My theatre credits include
Classical - Hamlet, Edward the II and Julius Caesar.
Contemporary - She kills Monsters, Wasted and Laura Kieler

About the lesson

I know how tough Drama School Auditions are. I have been in and out of them for the last 6 years of my life, both as an auditionee and a panelist. I know what it takes to get in, I know what goes into letting someone through the next round and I also know very well what it takes to get a rejection (believe me I've been there).
I pride myself in making my Drama School prep very personal and I know that because of my knowledge and experience I can make sure you enter that audition room confident, comfortable and prepared to showcase yourself to the best of your ability. Ready for whatever those panelist throw your way.

In our sessions we will explore things like
- Imaginative work
- Improvisation
- On the spot redirects
- Text analysis
- Mock auditions
- Acting games
- Physical work

For me the word "play" is most valuable. Drama schools never look for a finished product/actor, they look for someone who is playful and curious and ready to delve deep in exploring the work. In my lessons I will prepare you exactly for that.
