About Daniel
I have a BA with first class honours in Acting and Physical Theatre, from which I have built a practice around writing, analysing, and embodying text, as well as having developed a breadth of literary and dramatic references. My experience as an actor and writer has provided me with not only a deep and practical understanding of the English language, but a passion for making words and language accessible beyond a solely academic context.
My goal is always to foster a genuine interest in English, and to help students deepen their understanding of language as a means of communication and expression – not just to read and write what they are told to!

My lessons are best suited to GCSE and A-Level students, at any level, and with any kind of relationship to the subject. I have previous experience supporting students with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia and am particularly interested in supporting students who have struggled with conventional methods of tackling text.
My approach varies depending on the needs and interests of the individual, but you can expect an active and creative approach linking English to other subjects from art to video games to sport! I encourage my students to find their own values in both academic and creative writing.
Lessons are 1-2 hours, with flexibility, and can be conducted online or in person.
