About Oleh

I am a final year DPhil student at the University of Oxford reading for Economics of Cyber Security. I have more than five years of teaching experience (including private lessons). For the last 3 years, I have been teaching Microeconomics, Game Theory, Statistics and Econometrics at the University of Oxford. Currently, I am employed by Stanford University as a Game Theory tutor to teach exchange students from California here in Oxford.

About the lesson

I combine rigorous theoretical lessons with practical modelling sessions, where I allow students to apply their accumulated knowledge to real-world problems. For example, I tutored a group of students to use their Tournament Theory knowledge (part of Game Theory) to model modern patent races and analyse current patent regimes. This methodology does not only provide students with a rough theory but makes them understand why do they need it and how to apply it.
