About Anna
Sometimes the hardest part of organic chemistry is admitting that you can draw the resonance structures but still panic when looking at a retrosynthesis problem. I start every engagement with a mandatory diagnostic test to identify exactly where your logic breaks down before we draft a formal plan. We will spend our time dissecting radical reactions, acidity, and functional groups until the patterns are impossible to miss.
As a medical student, I prioritize efficiency in mechanism drawing and NMR interpretation to ensure you manage your time effectively under pressure. My lessons rely on building a framework for carboxylic acids and isomerism that you can replicate on your own during the actual exam. It is about building a system that works for you.

Clear explanations are the baseline, but do you actually feel comfortable applying concepts during a timed exam? I am a 4th year Johns Hopkins School of Medicine candidate who has spent 3 years helping students navigate the complexities of chemistry. My approach is rooted in the same methods I used while serving as an organic chemistry TA at an R1 university.
Having scored 520+ on the MCAT, I understand the pressure of high stakes testing better than most. I have worked with countless college majors, students retaking the course, and intense exam candidates to refine their problem solving speed. I focus on bridge building between theory and application so that reaction mechanisms become second nature. My academic path has prepared me to explain even the most abstract concepts in ways that stick.
You will find that I am direct, structured, and committed to your academic growth. Results matter more than effort.
