About Sheryar

I am a doctor with over 3 years of teaching experience, and I have cleared USMLE Step 1 and Step 2. I have taught Biology, Chemistry, medical sciences, and exam preparation to students at different levels, with a strong focus on making difficult concepts clear, logical, and easy to remember.

My medical background gives me a strong foundation in human biology, physiology, genetics, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, and clinical reasoning. This allows me to explain Biology in a more connected and practical way, especially for students who want to understand how biological concepts apply to the human body, disease, and medicine.

Over the years, I have helped students prepare for GCSEs, A-Levels, IGCSE, IB Biology, medical school preparation, and university-level science subjects. I focus on clear explanations, exam technique, past-paper practice, mark-scheme wording, and helping students understand why answers are correct rather than simply memorising them.

My teaching style is patient, structured, and tailored to each student’s level, exam board, and goals. Whether a student is struggling with the basics, aiming for higher grades, preparing for medical school, or trying to improve exam confidence, I aim to make each lesson practical, high-yield, and easy to follow.

About the lesson

My Biology lessons are designed to make the subject clear, logical, and easy to apply in exams. I teach Biology by breaking down complex topics into simple explanations, then linking them to exam-style questions, past papers, and mark-scheme requirements so students know exactly how to score marks.

Lessons can be tailored for GCSE Biology, GCSE Combined Science, IGCSE Biology, A-Level Biology, IB Biology, medical school preparation, and university-level Biology or Biomedical Science support. I adapt each session to the student’s exam board, current level, weak areas, and target grade.

A typical lesson may include topic explanations, diagrams, active recall, exam-style questions, past-paper practice, mark-scheme feedback, and revision planning. I focus on both understanding and exam technique, because many students know the content but lose marks by not answering in the way examiners expect.

I can help with cell biology, genetics, human physiology, enzymes, immunity, infection, respiration, photosynthesis, ecology, evolution, homeostasis, nervous and endocrine systems, reproduction, biological molecules, DNA, protein synthesis, and practical/data-based questions.

For students preparing for GCSEs or A-Levels, I focus on exam-board specific content, common question patterns, required practicals, calculations, graphs, and application questions. For students aiming for medicine or biomedical sciences, I can also explain topics in greater depth and connect Biology to real clinical examples.

Every lesson is interactive, structured, and tailored to the student’s needs. My aim is to make Biology feel less overwhelming, improve confidence, and help students approach exams with a clear method and stronger understanding.
