About Gilberto

I'm currently a student at the University of Texas at Austin, deeply engaged with my studies and a vibrant campus life. Originally from Ciudad Juárez, I crossed borders daily to attend high school in El Paso, an experience that enriched my understanding of different cultures and perspectives. I have a keen interest in reading, politics, and music, which not only broadens my knowledge but also fuels my passion for teaching and sharing ideas. I enjoy movies for their storytelling and historical insights, which complement my previous tutoring roles in English and history. This diverse background and my love for engaging with various forms of media and literature enhance my ability to connect with students and provide a rich, well-rounded learning environment.

Typical Lesson Plan:

Vocabulary and Grammar: Introduction and practice of new terms and concepts through dynamic activities.
Reading and Discussion: We engage with a short text, followed by a discussion to enhance comprehension and critical thinking in Spanish.
Practice Exercises: Targeted exercises to reinforce the day’s material with immediate feedback.
