About Michael
Most of my life has been devoted to writing of one kind or another. I was fortunate to discover poetry and short stories from an early age and gained a passion for both that spilled over into writing examples of each myself.
I was also given the opportunity to write a house play at my school and have since written four further plays together with book and lyrics for a musical. Two of these have been performed as Fringe Theater productions.
More recently my creative writing has been focused mainly on song lyrics.
To gain a commercial return from my own writing skills, I have worked since 1975 as an advertising copywriter, which has given me a huge education in the way words can be used to persuade, inspire and inform.
I continue to work in advertising as a copywriter, mainly online as a freelance and am constantly inspired to venture into new creative projects outside of advertising and marketing.
Now at an age when many people consider retirement, I believe have much to offer other aspiring writers and look forward to helping to ignite their creative spark and help them along the road ahead.
