About Lianne
I am a pianist, flautist and soprano with extensive experience in teaching beginners. Music is one of my passions and I share this love with the students I teach so they feel inspired and motivated to learn music.
I have performed as part of a choir and also as a soloist in concerts. In earlier years, I have performed in productions such as Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down the Wind as part of the chorus. Also, I have international experience performing with Hillingdon Music Service 2014 - 2018 as well as the experience and opportunity to perform at Cadogan Hall, London numerous times. From 2019, I have been a part of the choir at my university, conducted by Michelle Castelleti and we have had many performance opportunities around London.

I believe that learning theory is just as important as learning a musical instrument because it is the language of music and will boost your musicianship greatly.
Every pupil is different so there is no one method of teaching. I like to adapt to each student's learning style by observing their strengths and weaknesses. I also learn from my students as everyone sees/hears music in a different perspective and that is the ultimate way to teach.
Moreover, one of the most important qualities of being a good music teacher is to educate the students on ways of smart practice in order to move forward with their development. I want my pupils to feel confident and take ownership of their learning therefore, I will provide my pupils detailed tasks to work on away from the lesson each week and discuss with them the ways of achieving that.

In regards to cancellation, unless I am given 48 hours' notice, or I choose not to do so because of exceptional circumstances the full fee is still incurred.
