About Grace
As a guitar teacher with 4 years of experience and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies, I love guiding students into the world of ear training. Ear training is often the bridge between good players and great musicians. In my lessons, we focus on transcribing solos to build accuracy and style. We also practise identifying chord progressions by ear, which helps in ensemble playing and improvisation. Developing pitch recognition and interval training is another essential part of the process. I believe that strong ears make guitarists more versatile. My teaching is interactive and motivating, blending exercises with real-world application. I encourage students to experiment, listen deeply, and trust their instincts. Over time, these skills help players improvise, compose, and perform with confidence. Many of my students say ear training transformed their approach to the guitar. I want to share that same transformation with every learner.

I believe the best way to learn guitar is to connect theory with practice. My teaching uses scales, modes, and chords to unlock the fretboard. We look closely at chord construction so you know why shapes sound the way they do. Harmonic analysis helps you understand the logic behind songs. These lessons are not abstract—they always lead to playing and creating. I make sure every idea is connected to improvisation or composition. Students learn to hear and apply theory step by step. I adapt my approach for those aiming for rock performance or classical study. Both paths use theory as the key to fluency. Lessons are interactive and supportive, with room for creativity. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple explanations. Over time, students gain both skill and confidence. The goal is to make theory practical and inspiring on the guitar. Together, we’ll build your foundation for musical freedom.
