About Aarti

Hi, I’m Aarti! I’m a qualified dentist (BDS) and currently pursuing my Master’s in Public Health at Queen Mary University of London. I’m deeply passionate about dentistry, science, and understanding how things work, which naturally led me to love teaching. I started teaching at a young age, helping a neighbour and it quickly grew into a part-time journey alongside my dental career.
I love seeing students light up when they finally “get it” and watching their confidence grow. Many of my students have told me how much they enjoy my lessons and even felt sad when I moved because they loved learning with me so much moments like these remind me why I teach.
Beyond dentistry and teaching, I enjoy staying active, exploring ideas, and caring deeply about the world around me. I bring that same curiosity, energy, and dedication into every lesson. I aim to make science fun, engaging, and meaningful, helping students not just improve grades, but feel confident and excited about learning.

About the lesson

I genuinely enjoy teaching and helping students understand science in a way that finally “clicks” for them. My lessons are not just about finishing the syllabus but about building real understanding and confidence in the subject.
I believe in active learning, so my classes are always interactive. I encourage students to ask questions freely, think through problems, and stay engaged throughout the lesson. I make sure they feel comfortable, supported, and never afraid of making mistakes.
My teaching approach is simple and effective. I break down complex concepts into easy explanations, use examples to make them relatable, and then practise exam-style questions together. I regularly revisit topics to strengthen memory and make sure nothing is forgotten over time.
I also focus a lot on exam technique and past paper practice, because I understand that knowing the concept is one thing, but writing the correct answer in exams is equally important.
Each lesson is usually 45–60 minutes, structured but flexible depending on the student’s pace and needs. I’m happy to provide extra support, revision guidance, and tips to improve performance outside lessons as well.
I teach KS3 (Years 7–9) and GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics), especially students who may be struggling, lacking confidence, or aiming to improve their grades.
I am a qualified dentist (BDS) and currently pursuing my Master’s in Public Health at Queen Mary University of London. Alongside this, I have over 6 years of teaching experience, and I’ve seen how the right guidance can completely change a student’s confidence and results. I strongly believe that every student has the ability to do well sometimes they just need the right guidance and approach. My own love for Biology started because of a teacher who made the subject come alive for me, and that’s something I try to bring into my own lessons.
I aim to create that same sense of clarity and interest for my students, especially those who may feel that science is difficult or overwhelming. Seeing a student go from confusion to confidence is what I find most rewarding.
