About Teresa
I am a dedicated Violin tutor with 2 years of teaching experience, helping school and college students build strong musical skills and confidence. I have successfully taught around 250 students with different learning levels, from beginners to intermediate learners. My teaching focuses on creating a positive and supportive environment where students can learn at their own pace while developing proper violin techniques, bowing skills, finger placement, rhythm, ear training, sight reading, music theory, and performance confidence. I believe every student has the ability to succeed with the right guidance, patience, and regular practice. I adapt my lessons to match each student's learning style and goals, making every session engaging and easy to understand. My aim is not only to help students play the violin with confidence but also to develop a lifelong appreciation and love for music.

My teaching approach is focused on helping students learn the violin with confidence, patience, and enjoyment. I believe every student has a unique learning journey, so I design lessons based on their age, skill level, goals, and learning pace. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I provide step-by-step guidance to help you build strong musical skills.
Flexibility is an important part of my teaching. I adapt each lesson to match the student's progress and learning style. Clear communication helps students understand new concepts easily, and I encourage them to ask questions and discuss any challenges they face during practice.
My lessons include violin techniques, correct posture, bowing techniques, finger placement, scales, rhythm, ear training, sight reading, intonation, music theory, tone production, expression, classical violin, contemporary violin, performance preparation, and practice strategies. I also help students develop confidence in playing solo pieces and performing in front of others.
I use real-life examples and case studies from well-known violin performances to explain musical expression, technique, and interpretation. Creativity is encouraged through simple improvisation exercises, musical activities, and exploring different styles of music. This helps students enjoy learning while developing their own musical expression.
Accountability is an important part of every lesson. I provide regular feedback, set achievable practice goals, and monitor progress to help students improve consistently. My goal is to build strong technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence so that students can enjoy playing the violin and continue growing as musicians.
