About Nira

I have 10 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in String Performance. My academic training included advanced technique refinement, ensemble coordination, interpretive analysis, and structured practice planning. This background enables me to create progressive lesson structures that support consistent improvement.

Throughout my career, I have taught students of various skill levels, from beginners establishing posture fundamentals to advanced learners preparing for auditions. I firmly believe that structured repetition, clear feedback, and patient guidance are essential for long-term musical growth. My teaching style is disciplined, supportive, and goal-oriented.

Teaching violin allows me to guide students toward both technical excellence and artistic self-expression. Seeing learners perform confidently and communicate emotion through music brings me lasting professional fulfillment and motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and integrity.

About the lesson

My violin lessons focus on developing accurate intonation, smooth bow control, balanced posture, and expressive phrasing. At the beginning of instruction, I carefully assess shoulder alignment, chin rest placement, bow grip stability, wrist flexibility, and left-hand finger positioning. Establishing correct posture is essential for preventing tension and achieving consistent tonal quality. We begin with open-string bow exercises to build sound stability, followed by scale practice to strengthen pitch awareness and finger coordination. I clearly explain how bow speed, pressure distribution, and contact point influence tone clarity and resonance.

As students advance, we introduce shifting exercises, vibrato development, string crossing fluency, articulation refinement, and dynamic contrast control. Repertoire is selected based on ability level and musical goals. We analyze phrasing, tempo control, stylistic interpretation, and emotional expression. I provide detailed corrections and structured repetition to reinforce both technical and artistic development.

In advanced stages, I concentrate on recital preparation, memorization techniques, performance endurance, and stage presence. Students learn strategies to maintain concentration, control performance anxiety, and deliver confident interpretations under pressure. Simulated performance environments are incorporated into lessons to build resilience and composure. My ultimate goal is to develop violinists who demonstrate technical precision, expressive maturity, and strong self-confidence in both academic and public performance settings.
