About Shivani

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual's goals, learning style, and pace. At the beginning of each session, I identify the concepts that need the most attention and create a clear plan to build understanding step by step. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and adjust my explanations until the material truly makes sense.
My lessons combine guided instruction, worked examples, practice problems, and active discussion to help students develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills rather than relying on memorization. I also incorporate study strategies, organization, and test-taking techniques when they will benefit the student.
I work with elementary, middle school, high school, and introductory college students in mathematics through calculus, science, reading, writing, essay writing, history, social studies, Spanish, and computer science. Whether a student needs homework help, exam preparation, enrichment, or ongoing academic support, my goal is to help them build confidence, become more independent learners, and achieve lasting success.
