About Nicole
Hello! I am an elementary educator who believes that with the right guidance, every child can truly thrive. My passion is transforming school frustration into academic confidence.
I bring a unique blend of professional classroom experience and deeply personal educational success to our tutoring sessions. Currently, I am in my 5th year of teaching elementary students at a private school, which keeps me fully up-to-date with current curriculum standards and classroom workloads.
Before transitioning into the private school classroom, I dedicated myself to homeschooling my children from Kindergarten all the way through high school graduation. I am incredibly proud of the foundation I built for my family: my son successfully graduated from our homeschool academy and is now thriving as a student at Georgetown University, while my daughter is currently flourishing as a remarkably gifted artist and competitive ice skater while successfully completing her education. Raising children with such diverse, high-level talents keeps me deeply connected to what students need to truly excel and thrive today!
My Promise to You and Your Child:
• Deep Patience: I understand firsthand that children learn at different paces and in different ways. I meet your child exactly where they are without judgment or frustration.
• A Safe Space for Mistakes: I create an environment where mistakes are treated as beautiful opportunities to learn. This reduces school anxiety and helps children feel safe trying new things.
• A Supportive Partner for Parents: As a mom who has "been in the trenches" of education at every single grade level, I am here to support you just as much as your child. You are not alone in this journey.
Whether your child is a struggling reader who needs gentle phonics support, or a student falling behind in foundational math worksheets, I am here to help them conquer their workload with a smile.
I look forward to partnering with your family to help your child feel capable, confident, and proud of their hard work!
I am happy to meet with your child online, or in person in my classroom.
For children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, I highly recommend and prefer 30-minute sessions ($25). A full hour can often be too long for younger minds to stay focused after a full day of classroom school.

My 1-on-1 tutoring sessions are designed to be patient, encouraging, and entirely tailored to your child's immediate needs.
Because I am currently a full-time elementary teacher, I know how exhausted children can be at the end of a long school day. That is why I focus on making our time together a positive, low-stress experience.
What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:
• The Warm-Up (5 Mins): A quick, friendly check-in to build a comfortable connection and see how your child's school week is going.
• Homework & Schoolwork Support: We will tackle their current school homework, weekly worksheets, or classroom reading books together. I use gentle, step-by-step guidance so they truly understand the concepts rather than just rushing to find the answer.
• Targeted Skill Building: If your child finishes their homework early or just needs general reinforcement, I will use my classroom experience to guide them through fun reading games, phonics practice, or foundational math exercises.
• Wrap-Up & Review: We finish the session by highlighting what they did well, leaving them feeling capable and confident for their next day of school.
No advanced lesson prep is required from you! Just have your child bring their school materials, and we will conquer them together!
A Note on Lesson Length for Younger Learners:
For children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, I highly recommend and prefer 30-minute sessions ($25). A full hour can often be too long for younger minds to stay focused after a full day of classroom school.

Nicole is my child's teacher. She is patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She had helped my child become more confident in the classroom, especially with her reading.
I work closely with Nicole at a private school where we both teach the same grade levels. She is extremely hard working, intelligent, kind and an incredible colleague who works very well with kids. I highly recommend her as a tutor.
