About Neil
With 7 years of teaching and a strong academic background in Piano History, I offer a comprehensive approach to jazz piano. My studies in Musicology inform my respect for the instrument’s heritage. My passion lies in modern expression.
Improvisation and comping are at the heart of my lessons. We work on expanding harmonic vocabulary through rich voicings and advanced chord structures. You will gain tools to accompany and solo with confidence.
Holistic growth is essential. We explore jazz theory in action, strengthen ear training for altered and extended chords, and transcribe classic recordings. Rhythmic precision anchors your creativity.
