About Greta
I earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Studies, a Master of Music in Keyboard Performance, and a PhD in Piano Education. During the last 13 years, I have worked with learners of different ages and backgrounds, helping them build confidence and musical skill. My interest in piano began through performance experiences, ensemble work, and a fascination with musical expression. Teaching became a natural extension of that passion because I enjoy helping others discover what they can achieve. Supporting student growth continues to inspire me every day.
My teaching approach combines structure, patience, and flexibility. I understand that every learner progresses differently, so lessons are adapted to individual needs while maintaining clear goals. Technical instruction is always connected to practical musical application so that learning feels meaningful. Students receive encouragement and guidance that support steady improvement. This creates a positive and productive learning environment.
Outside teaching, I enjoy accompanying performers, exploring new repertoire, and studying music education methods. These interests help me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Watching students achieve goals they once considered difficult is deeply rewarding. I strive to make every lesson engaging and effective. My goal is to help learners develop lasting confidence and enjoyment through music.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build practical musical fluency while developing strong technical skills. Learners work on finger independence, note reading, rhythm accuracy, hand coordination, sight reading, expressive dynamics, and musical interpretation through carefully structured activities. I believe students learn best when technique and creativity develop together. Lessons are designed to help learners understand music as a complete language rather than a collection of isolated skills. This approach creates lasting confidence and stronger musicianship.
Every student follows a personalized learning plan based on their experience and interests. Activities may include duet playing, rhythm training exercises, keyboard harmony work, improvisation, ear training, accompaniment patterns, and performance preparation. Students receive clear explanations and practical exercises that make challenging concepts easier to understand. Supportive feedback helps learners recognize progress and stay motivated throughout their development. This balanced approach encourages both technical growth and enjoyment.
My goal is to help students become independent musicians who can approach new musical challenges with confidence. As skills improve, learners gain greater freedom to express themselves creatively and communicate through music. Lessons encourage curiosity, consistency, and self-belief. Every accomplishment contributes to stronger musical understanding. I want students to feel excited about their progress and future opportunities.
