About Tessa

I hold a Master’s Degree in Theoretical Physics and have spent eleven years helping students uncover the principles that govern the universe. My fascination with physics began when I realised that invisible forces could shape everything around us. That sense of wonder guided me through advanced study and ultimately into teaching, where I could share that awe alongside structured knowledge. My teaching approach is grounded in clarity, adaptability, and patience. I carefully adjust explanations, methods, and pacing to meet each learner’s needs. I strive to replace fear of formulae with confidence in reasoning. I see teaching as a partnership—one that supports growth not only academically, but emotionally and intellectually as well. Outside the classroom, I remain deeply involved in continuous learning through research reading, scientific discussion groups, and academic workshops. Physics is an evolving field, and I make it my duty to evolve with it. Teaching physics is more than a profession for me; it is a way of revealing the hidden order of the world and guiding students towards a deeper understanding of reality and themselves.

About the lesson

Physics is the language of the universe, revealing the principles that govern motion, energy, and matter. In my lessons, I strive to transform abstract theories into understandable, relatable concepts. I cultivate an atmosphere of curiosity, encouraging students to ask questions and explore ideas without hesitation. By connecting scientific laws to everyday experiences, learners begin to realise that physics is not distant or intimidating, but present in every movement, sound, and interaction around them. This supportive environment builds both intellectual confidence and genuine fascination. Students begin by exploring foundational topics such as motion, forces, energy, and basic wave behaviour. As understanding deepens, we progress into electricity, magnetism, thermodynamics, and optics. Advanced learners examine quantum concepts, relativity, and applied physics models. I incorporate visual demonstrations, problem-solving sessions, and conceptual simulations to strengthen comprehension. Practical thinking is constantly reinforced, helping students relate formulae to real-world applications like engineering, astronomy, and technology. The true outcome of physics education is expanded perception. Students learn to observe the world more critically, approach problems with analytical precision, and appreciate the underlying order of the universe. This intellectual discipline strengthens resilience, curiosity, and confidence. Beyond academic achievement, physics empowers students to think scientifically, question assumptions, and view reality through a lens of understanding, equipping them for future careers and informed, independent thought.
