About Joshua

In my classroom, creating a safe, effective, and inclusive learning environment is my foremost mission. I believe in nurturing each student's talents, fostering an atmosphere where every individual feels welcomed, valued and empowered to embrace their own growth, development and progress academically and morally.
My ultimate objectives go beyond mere academic achievement; I aim to instill a love for learning for its own sake and to cultivate critical thinking. I firmly believe in the power of our human intellect, rationality, creativity and imagination to effect positive change in the world. By equipping students with these critical thinking skills, I empower them to navigate complexities, challenge assumptions and envision new possibilities.
I am dedicated to guiding students on a journey of self-discovery, helping them find their own place in the world, derive meaning in their lives and uncover their true selves. Through critical thinking, students not only undergo transformations but also develop a deeper understanding of their identity as human beings.
Every student has the opportunity to thrive, explore and contribute meaningfully to the world around them. Together, we embark on a journey of intellectual growth, personal development and positive change, guided by the principles of inclusivity, empowerment and critical inquiry.

About the lesson

My passion is teaching. Choosing me as a tutor means gaining an experienced mentor with over a decade of instructing across diverse subjects and age groups. I specialize in reading, writing, composition skills, public speaking, basic math and arithmetic, and even guitar. My personalized approach ensures each student receives the support they need to excel academically and personally. I value leadership, growth, responsibility, and community. Above all, I believe learning is fun and opens the door for many opportunities in life! I strive to teach these values to my students.
