About Sandra
"I sometimes find that reaction mechanisms are the part of chemistry students fear the most. I have taught 429 students over my 13-year career, helping hobbyists and intermediate learners alike.
My approach relies on the BSc Chemistry degree I earned from UC Berkeley. I prefer to keep things simple, focusing on conceptual learning that sticks in your memory.
Whether we are discussing the periodic table or electrochemistry, I explain things as if we are sitting at a kitchen table. It is nice to work with students who want to move past rote memorization.
Most of my pupils are board exam students or absolute beginners who just need a fresh perspective. I am quite patient and happy to walk through the same acid and base concept several times. Let me know if you would like to start a session together."
