My Teaching Approach and Methodology As a teacher, I believe learning science should be meaningful, logical, and enjoyable, not based on rote memorization. My approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts, apply them confidently, and perform well in examinations. I use a concept-based and competency-oriented teaching method, aligned with the CBSE and NCERT curriculum. Each topic is explained step by step using real-life examples, diagrams, flowcharts, and comparisons, making even complex biological processes easy to grasp. I regularly incorporate HOTS questions, case-based problems, assertion–reason questions, and diagram-based analysis to strengthen critical thinking. A typical class begins with a quick recap of previous concepts, followed by interactive explanation of new content. I encourage students to ask questions and think aloud during the lesson. This is followed by practice questions, exam-style MCQs, or short assessments to check understanding. I end each session with a summary and key takeaways, ensuring clarity before moving forward. What makes me stand out as a teacher is my ability to break down difficult topics into simple language, my focus on exam patterns and answer-writing skills, and my emphasis on conceptual clarity over memorization. I also customize my teaching pace according to each student’s learning needs. My classes are especially intended for school students from Classes 6 to 12, particularly those studying Science, Biology, and Environmental Science under the CBSE curriculum. I also support students preparing for school exams, board exams, and concept reinforcement.
