About Bracewell
I am a debating coach based in Canada with 15 years of Middle and High School debating coaching and experience.
I coach school teams, individuals, and private teams, and I have had teams compete all over North America and Europe.
My teams have won championships and my debaters have gone on to debate at the International Level.
I have 23 years of professional educational experience, and I view all of my students as capable given the right coaching. My approach to coaching is collegial and supportive with a lot of individualized tracking and feedback. I encourage students to think about their objectives, and create curricula and environments to help them achieve those objectives.

This is the right place for you if you want a supportive and experienced debate coach who will offer individualized encouragement and feedback. We will study debating styles, expectations, and norms. We will practice argument construction, refutation, and reconstruction.
A typical lesson of mine will include an introduction to the subject and skills that we are working-on during that lesson. A motion and side that you will debate either against me or against another lesson participant, and then considered feedback about the debate that you just did.
Support for online and in-person tournaments is also available.
With 15 years of experience, I have coached at the Provincial and National Levels. I have particular experience with British Parliamentary, Canadian Parliamentary, and CNDF (Junior and Senior) forms of debating. I generally coach Middle and High School Students, but if you are an adult who wants to learn about debating, the focus will be more on Critical Thinking than competition.
