About Harold

I am Deaf all my life, I love to teach, tutor, & help people to learn ASL. I have been teaching a lot of people from kids, high school, college to adult. I help some people to reach their goal of becoming an interpreter, pass their grades in high school or college, & becoming better signers.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is online via Google Meet. I use the Signing Naturally book in my slides to teach. I can have a conversation with students to practice their signing or tutor them to improve their signing skills for their class.

Perfect! Harold is a fantastic teacher of American Sign Language and I am so very lucky to have found him! I have been taking weekly lessons with him for 6 months now to preserve my ASL knowledge in between instructional classes. He has been instrumental in helping me maintain focus.

Perfect! I have learned so much with Harold. He is a very cool instructor and he won't let you give up!! I appreciate his patience as well as his sense of humor. I also appreciate that he is very conversational which helps me to practice using sign language more. It helps me to see my own growth and progression as a student. I am grateful to Harold for helping me embrace my deafness as a late deafened adult learning a new language for myself. He has helped me to be able to communicate with others who are just like me! =)

Perfect! Harold is super cool and funny. He's more relaxed and conversational as opposed to a typical school teacher who has an agenda for the hour. I love that I can just ask questions and get real, in-time answers. I think he's a great teacher if you're a driven learner. Would recommend.

He has well planned instruction with many opportunities to practice new concepts, and he always prioritizes and makes space for exploring any questions. When I’m having trouble understanding him or vice versa, Harold is patient and resourceful. I always have a lot of fun in his classes, and I’m learning so much!
