About Divish
Hi! I'm currently working as a Data Analyst at Reliance Retail, one of India's largest retail companies, where I work daily with real business data, automation, and analytics tools. Alongside this, I also work with Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Foundry, which keeps me closely connected to the latest developments in data and programming.
I decided to start tutoring because I remember how confusing programming can feel when you're only learning through theory and textbook examples - no context, no "why," just syntax to memorize. My goal is to change that by teaching the way I wish I'd been taught: through real code, real problems, and real explanations.
A few things you can count on:
Practical, not just theoretical - everything I teach is grounded in how programming is actually used in a professional data role, not abstract exercises
Patient and structured - I break concepts down step by step and never move on until you're genuinely comfortable, not just "caught up"
Honest feedback - I'll tell you clearly what you're doing well and what

My Teaching Approach
I believe programming is best learned by doing, not just watching — so my classes are built around hands-on coding, real datasets, and problems pulled straight from actual industry work rather than generic textbook examples.
Teaching techniques and methods
Concept → Code → Application: I introduce a concept briefly, we code it together live, then apply it to a mini real-world problem (e.g., cleaning a sales dataset, automating a report).
Project-based learning: Instead of isolated exercises, students build toward small end-to-end projects (a data dashboard, a simple automation script, an analysis report) so they see how concepts connect.
Debugging as a skill: I deliberately walk through errors and bugs with students rather than avoiding them — reading error messages and fixing code is a core industry skill I make sure they practice.
Usual class structure
Quick recap (5 min) — review previous concept with a rapid-fire question or mini challenge
New concept + live coding (20–25 min) — I explain and code alongside the student, not just lecture
Guided practice (15–20 min) — student codes with me nearby to help, not just watching
Real-world tie-in (10 min) — a short example of how this is used in an actual business/data setting
Homework/mini-challenge — small, doable task to reinforce before the next session
What sets me apart
I currently work as a Data Analyst at Reliance Retail, and I also work hands-on with Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Foundry — so I teach programming the way it's actually used in industry: writing clean, practical code for real data problems, not just passing syntax quizzes.
I bring real (anonymized) examples from my day-to-day work — dashboards, data cleaning pipelines, automation scripts — so students understand why a concept matters, not just how to write it.
Who my classes are for
College students learning Python/SQL for the first time or for placements
Early-career professionals wanting to build practical data/programming skills
Beginners with zero coding background who want a structured, patient introduction
