About Louise
Hello! I'm Louise, a consulting data analyst specialising in Tableau (visualisation software) and Alteryx (data processing tool).
I love teaching and sharing knowledge. In my job, I often train people of all proficiencies in technical tools. This work is incredibly fulfilling as has reignited my desire to tutor! Although I am a data analyst, my background is in engineering. I have a wide breadth of knowledge on topics from maths and science to university survival and careers.
I am invested in more than just securing my students' academic achievement but also their personal development. I have been employed by the University of Surrey as a Student Life Mentor to help new students navigate university life, manage their anxieties and to be independent. With this experience, I am capable of supporting my students through stressful exam periods and giving advice on time management.
I have a long record of success in education, having achieved 1st Class Honours Medical Engineering degree at the University of Surrey, A*AA at A2 level, A at AS level and 7 A*, 2A at GCSE. I am also a published author in an academic journal.
Throughout my education, I have learned a number of effective techniques that I will teach my students. These include creating mind maps and flash cards for memory-intensive subjects and utilising online resources and apps to consolidate learning.
