About Gabrielle

My greatest passion in life is teaching. I was born in upstate New York and raised all over the United States, and experienced great success at school due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. I have committed my life to teach others in fine arts such as drawing, painting, sketching, dance, and performance. I am committed to providing your family with a loving and developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning. I have been dancing since I was the age of 3 (professionally since the age of 15) and teaching dance (ages 2.5 - 18, and adult) for the last 13 years. When I was 13 years old, I taught my first beginner jazz class. I had always had a passion for dance, but I was fascinated by the ability to share my training with others. As a teacher, not only am I providing you knowledge about a topic, I also pair as a life coach, a safe place to talk about struggles and grief and everything in between, as well as the opportunity to build a relationship to give guidance and suggestions for a happier and healthier life. Those are the things I strive for as an educator. After owning and directing two successful dance studios of my own, as well as directing three dance programs - the thing I feel like is most important as an educator, is environment. Kids, adults, students in life - we all want to feel safe, heard, and inspired. It is so important in order for individuals to blossom and learn in that type of atmosphere. About the lesson

PRIVATE LESSONS (one or more students) :

For our private lessons, sessions are whatever time scheduled (min of 30 minutes - must be approved for under an hour lesson) with the entire focus individualized. At the beginning of the session (or prior) we will discuss what the goal of the lesson is and build a plan from there. For example, this could be an entire hour of just working on stage performance, or pointing your toes, or even cleaning choreography. This time is yours and can be used for ultimately anything (competition prep, technique, beginner-advanced lessons, the possibilities are endless).

CLASSROOM STYLE LESSONS (one or more students) :

Each 45 minute class will consist of - intros for the first 5 minutes, stretching for the next 5 minutes, learning and practicing the movements of the day (anywhere from 1-3 each class) for the next 15 minutes, performing the last 5 minutes.

Example of class option :
Level 1 - Beginner Technique : A fun interactive dance class covering the beginning basic movements of dance. Students will demonstrate the learned movements at the end of class.

My standard rate is $40/hour but I do offer discounts for multiclass and other specials. I am flexible with my rate depending on location and student need. Please let me know if you are interested but my rate may not be in your range - I'm happy to see what I can do!
