My name is Joel, and I’m someone who genuinely enjoys helping people understand cybersecurity in a simple, comfortable and encouraging way. I’ve always believed that anyone can learn tech when it’s explained clearly, and that belief is what motivates me to teach. With a background that includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Applied Cybersecurity, I’ve spent years studying how technology works and how to break it down into easy, practical steps. I want to teach because I know what it feels like to start from scratch and feel overwhelmed by technical terms and complicated tools. My goal is to make that journey easier for you. I love seeing students gain confidence, especially when a topic that once felt confusing suddenly starts to make sense. That moment of clarity is what drives me. I approach teaching with patience, friendliness, and a focus on real understanding rather than memorizing. Whether you’re completely new to cybersecurity, preparing for a course, or exploring a future career in the field, I’m here to guide you with clear explanations, hands-on practice, and a supportive atmosphere. About the lesson

My teaching style is friendly, patient, and completely focused on helping you feel confident, no matter your starting point. I love breaking down cybersecurity concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and guiding students step by step through tools like Nmap, Snort, and TCPDump. I make sure every lesson feels relaxed, supportive, and practical, with hands-on examples and clear guidance based on the Google Cybersecurity course. A typical lesson is around 1 hour, but I’m flexible if you need a bit more time to fully understand a topic—we go at your pace, never rushed.

I’m Joel, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Applied Cybersecurity. My experience helps me explain things in a way that feels approachable and beginner-friendly, and I always make sure you feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how small.
