We met whilst being students, and for as long as I’ve known her, she has constantly surprised me. We constantly engaged in academic competition with one another, pushing both of us at the top of our classes. Not one day passed when we didn’t debate some kind of highly complex academic concept, teaching the both of us things which went above and beyond what our curriculum required. Together, to aid our peers, we created free revision resources to give everyone a chance to succeed academically no matter their material circumstances. No matter the issue, Fumi has always had something pushing her to find solutions, and this makes me think she would never let her students down.
