About Peter

Hi, I’m Tom, a 20-year-old Civil Engineering student who is about to start my second year at Cardiff University.

I achieved an A* in GCSE Maths and an A in A-Level Maths, but Maths didn’t always come naturally to me. In Years 7, 8, and 9, I was placed in the lower sets at school and struggled at times with the subject.

Through consistent effort, practice, and the right support from teachers, I gradually improved my understanding and confidence in Maths. This experience taught me that success in Maths isn’t just about natural ability—it’s about putting in the effort and getting the support you need when you’re stuck.

Because I’ve experienced both struggling and succeeding in Maths, I understand the challenges many students face. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve their skills, and realise that they are capable of achieving more than they might think.

I offer friendly and supportive online tutoring for GCSE Maths and below, helping students develop their understanding step by step and reach their full potential.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Tom, a Civil Engineering student at Cardiff University. I achieved an A* in GCSE Maths and an A in A-Level Maths, and I now use Maths extensively throughout my engineering degree.

I offer Maths tutoring for students studying GCSE Maths and below. My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they’re looking to improve confidence, strengthen their understanding of key topics, or prepare for exams.

I focus on explaining concepts in a simple and easy-to-understand way, working through practice questions, and helping students develop strong problem-solving skills. I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

Lessons are conducted online, making them convenient and flexible. I currently charge £10 per hour, offering affordable, high-quality support for students looking to improve their Maths skills and achieve their goals.
