About Brooke

I’m currently pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences and have completed advanced science coursework throughout high school. My experience includes internships and jobs that allowed me to work directly with the natural world and the teaching of the importance of nature and animals to children ages 6-18. I take pride in creating a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and mastering new concepts involving science. With a strong foundation in biology, student-focused approach, I’m committed to helping learners build their understanding of science and achieve their goals.

About the lesson

As a Biological Sciences major with a strong background in advanced high school science courses, internships, and jobs involving the natural world, I bring both academic knowledge and hands-on experience to my tutoring. My approach focuses on making science engaging and relatable by connecting concepts to real life examples and natural processes. I use visual aids, analogies, and interactive discussions to help students grasp complex ideas and develop critical thinking skills.

Each lesson begins with a brief review, followed by targeted instruction on one or two key topics typically related to themes studied in school. I tailor my teaching to the student’s learning style whether they benefit from diagrams and graphs, step by step explanations, or hands on practice. I encourage questions and create a supportive environment where students feel confident exploring new ideas surrounding science.

What makes my tutoring effective is my ability to bridge classroom learning with real world applications. I aim to spark curiosity and help students see science not just as a subject, but as a way to understand the world around them.

My lessons are designed for middle school, and early high school, studying the basics of biology, environmental science, or other general sciences. Whether preparing for exams or building foundational knowledge, I adapt each session to meet the student’s goals and learning needs.
