About Georgia

I am a current Mathematics undergrad and I have always enjoyed problem solving as well as understanding the key concepts and logic behind what I do. It gives me joy when I am able to help others understand hard questions by breaking it down into small, easy steps. Being able to simplify complex maths has been something I have done throughout my life and I hope to share that skill with others through teaching. I aim to make Mathematics more enjoyable and for more to find satisfaction in completing and solving problems.

About the lesson

As someone who has tutored Maths to children as young as 7, all the way to A Level, both in person and online, I have tried and tested many different methods to keep students attentive as well as interested in the subject at hand. I have felt it is important to always start with a small test to understand and note where the areas of improvement are; then I write up a mini plan for each of my students. Depending on the level of the student, we may have to learn the basics and work our way up so as to really understand why we do what we do rather than memorising by heart. I also make sure to challenge the students who are already working at a high level and prepare them in such a way that they can tackle any equation by building up key problem-solving skills.
