About Annabella

I'm currently a student myself, in university and have experience in tutoring and have been doing it for 5 years on and off. As a student myself, I have a lot of experience on the side of the student and know what it is like. Because I am a current student I'm also up to date with learning methods and expectations of students these days. Learning styles are incredibly important in becoming a successful student. And if you don't know your learning style, it's never too late to discover what works best for you and I'm more than happy to explore it with you. Whether it be visual, audio, oral, or something else entirely, I like to adjust to the needs of my student. Growing up in international environments and changing schools and moving often has made me quick on my feet and adapt well to change, this is also why I prefer to make a custom plan for each individual. Because I study Psychology, I have a lot of experience in writing research papers and learning how to read scientific texts.

About the lesson

Hello! I've worked as a tutor for people of varying ages who wanted to improve their English (specifically orally). Most of them are Italian as I speak Italian as well and makes the lesson more smooth but this isn't a necessity. In addition I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) and have experience in editing essays and research papers.

When working with me I like the first 20 minutes of the first meeting to be about getting to know each other a bit, what specific needs we should focus on and then the rest of the session as a short starter class. Based on this session I come up with a tailored plan in an agreed upon number of sessions to help with your individual goals and to go at your own pace. If you would just like someone to help or edit an essay this can of course also be a one off session.

I've had a very global upbringing and am very open minded and care a lot about helping people. This is a judgment free zone and I'm here to help in whatever way I can!
