About Ava
My name is Ava, and I am a college student. I'm from New York State and always plan a few weekends during the school year to go home and spend time with my dog! I spent my first year of college at another university before transferring, which has completely reinvigorated my love for academics and reading. I have loved to read for as long as I can remember - I am incredibly passionate about both reading and writing and hope to share this passion with you!

My teaching style is very flexible to every student's needs and I aim to be accommodating. I help students attain literacy or improve literacy through visual aids, educational activities, and focus on vocabulary and comprehension. What sets me apart is that I am truly passionate about reading and writing, and want to share that passion. My lessons span ages K-8 and I help students with specialized assignments, general studying, or improving fluency and reading skills, among other things.
