About Sharvari

Hi! I'm a current student at the University of the Witwatersrand with a genuine passion for helping high school students achieve their academic potential. My interest in tutoring stems from the teachers who inspired and challenged me throughout my own education. They showed me the impact that the right support can have, and I believe every student has the ability to succeed when they're given the attention and encouragement they deserve.

My academic journey reflects a strong commitment to excellence. I was awarded Half Academic Colours in Grade 10 and Full Academic Colours in grade 11 and Grade 12 in recognition of my consistent academic performance. I also competed in the Proverto Commerce Olympiads for three consecutive years, earning Half Colours for Academic Merit each year. In addition, I consistently qualified for the second round of the Old Mutual Mathematics Olympiad.

I completed Matric with a final average of 83%, demonstrating sustained performance across multiple subjects. As a current Wits student, I continue to build on this academic foundation and remain committed to learning, growth, and helping others realise their own potential.

About the lesson

I understand the challenges of learning and the importance of having the right support. I help students strengthen their understanding through curriculum-based lessons, homework assistance, and targeted exam revision. My goal is not only to improve marks but also to build confidence by identifying knowledge gaps, correcting misconceptions, and teaching effective study habits.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual's pace, learning style, and goals. I work well with all students, but I particularly enjoy helping learners who struggle with confidence, need a more structured approach to their studies, or benefit from adaptive teaching methods that are personalised to their needs.

My lessons are patient, encouraging, and interactive, creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. I believe learning should be a collaborative process that helps students become independent and motivated learners.

I am fluent in English and can also provide support in intermediate Afrikaans where needed. Whether you're looking to improve your understanding, prepare for exams, or build stronger study habits, I'm committed to helping you achieve your academic goals.
