About Michaela

I am a graduate of RPI with a B.S. in Biology who decided to go back to school for music. I am currently attending SUNY Schenectady for undergraduate degrees in Vocal Performance and Audio Technology, with a graduate degree in Music Education as the ultimate goal after I complete my undergraduate degrees. I am actively involved in the vocal ensembles at SUNY Schenectady including the Chorus, Vocal Chamber Ensemble, and the school’s Acapella group, Totally Pitchin’. As a first year student, I received a scholarship from a community performance organization, the Thursday Musical Club, and represented our school as a guest soloist in the group’s Christmas Peace Concert of that year. Additionally, I made Dean’s List as early as my first semester and have maintained strong connections with the professors and faculty in the School of Music. I actively sing and compose, and immerse myself daily in my studies of piano, music theory, aural skills, music history, and other areas, plus a deeper exploration of classical vocal literature and technique. I pride myself on my professionalism and musicianship, and aim to incorporate these attitudes in to all of my lessons.

Whether you are brand new to music or already have some experience under your belt, my custom tailored lessons will meet you where you are. I believe that each student’s journey is totally unique, especially as musicians. My lessons embrace this individuality by personalizing our time to meet the specific goals you are looking to work towards and achieve. No two lessons are exactly the same because no two students are the same. Together we will explore your goals, decide on the best way to get there, and structure your lessons efficiently to get the most out of the time we have. I will teach you whatever you want to learn!
