About Mohammed
From a young age I, like most children, had a burning curiosity about how the world worked I’d often drive my parents crazy asking any and all questions that popped in to my mind! As I grew up that curiosity finally met its match in the Maths and Sciences taught at secondary school which I developed a real love for. However, I noticed my peers didn’t share this experience and though they were still curious they didn’t apply that curiosity to school. That’s the issue I want to solve I hope to teach in a way that first makes Maths enjoyable because after that first spark lessons will become something the student looks forward to and devotes more attention and concentration to; that spark will grow in to good grades by itself in a more sustainable long term way than cramming for exams.

My Methodology:
Every student is unique and learns in a different way that’s why I make sure to first gauge where my students struggle and what sort of teaching best compliments their learning. For those who benefit from visualising mathematical concepts I use drawings and diagrams and for those who struggle with the abstract nature of mathematics I provide stories and real life examples of how the skills we learn translate in to the real world.
My lessons will aim to patch the holes in learning that the school may have missed while reinforcing good mathematical practices and ways of thinking to take back in the classroom as well.
Length of lessons:
This tailored to the student and is based off how long they are able to stay concentrated so anywhere between 30-60 minutes.
My qualifications:
Not so long ago I was a student part of the first year of the “new” GCSEs where I achieved six grade 9s including Maths and an A* with distinction in Further Maths. After that I took my A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics in which I achieved A*A*A which led to me where I am now, a penultimate year Computer Science student at the University of Warwick.
