About Jeevan

I am a dedicated and patient tutor committed to helping students not only achieve academic success, but develop the study habits and confidence to carry them through the rest of their academic careers. My teaching style combines traditional instruction with the Socratic method, encouraging students to actively think through problems rather than simply memorize solutions. I place strong emphasis on pen-and-paper practice, textbook work, and step-by-step reasoning to build solid academic foundations. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, challenged, and comfortable asking questions. I pride myself on being professional, reliable, and approachable. I maintain a structured and respectful learning environment where students can make mistakes, ask questions freely, and steadily build confidence in their abilities. Whether a student needs ongoing academic support, exam preparation, or help catching up in class, I strive to provide clear guidance and consistent encouragement every step of the way.

About the lesson

I am available to tutor students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, with a particular specialty in IB curriculum support. My teaching approach combines traditional instruction with the Socratic method, emphasizing strong foundational understanding through discussion, guided questioning, and active problem-solving. I encourage students to work through concepts using pen and paper and textbook-based practice to strengthen critical thinking, retention, and academic discipline.

My lessons are structured around each student’s individual goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by targeted instruction on new concepts, guided practice together, and independent problem-solving to reinforce understanding. I also focus on developing effective study habits, test-taking strategies, and confidence alongside subject mastery.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my emphasis on deep comprehension rather than memorization. I aim to help students understand why concepts work, not just how to solve a problem mechanically. By combining structured teaching with thoughtful questioning, I help students become more independent learners who can approach unfamiliar problems with confidence.

Lessons are suitable for students of all academic levels, including elementary, middle school, and high school learners, as well as students enrolled in IB programs who need support with coursework, exam preparation, or organization and study skills.
