About Riya

Hello! My name is Riya Belani, and I’m passionate about helping students not just learn math — but truly understand it. I am pursuing the degree of BBA with Math and have [2 years] of experience tutoring middle school, high school students. About the lesson

1. Teaching Methodology and Techniques My teaching methodology focuses on conceptual understanding first, followed by problem-based practice. I believe students truly learn mathematics when they understand why formulas work, not just how to use them. 2. A Typical Lesson Plan A 60-minute lesson might look like this: Warm-up / Review (5–10 min): Quick recap of the previous topic and short diagnostic questions. Concept Introduction (10–15 min): Explain new concepts with examples and visuals; connect to prior knowledge. Guided Practice (20–25 min): Solve problems together, step by step, with increasing independence. Independent Practice (10–15 min): The student works through questions while I provide feedback. Wrap-up / Reflection (5 min): Summarize key takeaways, clarify doubts, assign short practice tasks. 3. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor Personalized, empathetic approach: I tailor lessons to each student’s pace, learning style, and confidence level.
