About Juan

Hi! I'm a calm and approachable person who genuinely enjoys helping others make sense of Math. I believe that no question is too small, and I'm always happy to explain concepts clearly and patiently until they click. I find joy in seeing my students grow more confident with each lesson, and I always strive to create a relaxed, supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. Teaching Math isn't just about formulas—it's about helping students think logically, build problem-solving skills, and feel proud of their progress. I'm committed to doing my best to guide each student toward success, no matter their pace or starting point.

About the lesson

As a former Math tutor for IGCSE level students (Grades 9–10), my teaching style is patient, structured, and focused on developing analytical thinking. I emphasize breaking down complex problems into manageable steps, helping students clearly understand how to approach and unpack each question. A typical 2-hour lesson begins with a short recap quiz to reinforce prior learning, followed by homework review and targeted instruction based on school syllabus, parent requests, or upcoming assessments. I have experience working one-on-one or with small groups (up to 3), including students with ADHD or autism, and always tailor my approach to meet their learning needs. Each session ends with assigned homework to consolidate understanding and prepare for the next lesson.
