About Jordan

I am a dedicated Bachelor of Education student at Latrobe University with experience tutoring secondary students in math, English, and literacy both one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for schools such as MLC, MITS, and Caulfield Grammar. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, understanding, and problem-solving skills, ensuring students feel supported while developing strong academic abilities. About the lesson

I aim to create a supportive, engaging, and personalized learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring concepts at their own pace. I focus on building conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization, ensuring that students not only complete problems but also understand the reasoning behind each step. Techniques and Teaching Methodology I use step-by-step explanations, worked examples, and guided practice. I incorporate visual aids, diagrams, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts relatable. I encourage active participation, asking students to explain their thinking to strengthen understanding and retention. I adapt my teaching to each student’s learning style, providing extra support in weaker areas and extension tasks for advanced learners. Typical Lesson Length Lessons are usually 60 minutes, but can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs or exam preparation schedule. Qualifications and Experience I am currently a Bachelor of Education student at Latrobe University, with experience tutoring secondary students in math, English, and literacy both one-on-one, and group sessions at schools such as MLC, MITS, and Caulfield Grammar. I have worked with students on exam preparation, homework support, and numeracy/literacy skill development, building confidence and academic competence.
