My teaching method derives from the Zone of Proximal
MY TEACHING
Development which describes the gap between what a learner can do independently and what they can do with help as well as the Montessori method, derived form years as a student of Montessori. I follow the child.
LESSON
Lesson will always start with a review of background knowledge as well as what was learned from the previous lesson. Lesson will then start with the new knowledge using a multisensory approach to better have the student process and store the information all while connecting it to relevant information the student already has. Then there will be guided/independent work to hone the skills and an exit ticket to make sure the information was well absorbed and helps me cater my teaching to their needs.
WHAT SETS ME APART
Is the fact that am not only an educator, but I am also an interventionist. My job and knowledge come from finding and creating interventions to help close the gap. This makes me unique to help fill the gaps of students who need assistance.
THE LESSONS ARE FOR
Students who need interventions to catch up to grade level and to keep working on skills. I specialize mostly in K-5 teaching as that is my niche, but I am also licensed to work up to 12th grade
