Okie, so you're into maths but not sure how to get better grades?
Or, are you having nightmares about y=mx+c and panicking about moving down a set?
Don't worry, I am here to support you to fly higher in this subject or sleep better before a maths assessment.
I helped students from these schools:
- Churchill Community College (UK)
- Dyke House Academy (UK)
- German Swiss International School (Hong Kong)
- Harrow International School (Hong Kong)
- Island School (Hong Kong)
- Kenton School (UK)
- Notre Dame School (UK)
- Renaissance College (Hong Kong)
- Sandhust School (UK)
- Scarborough College (UK)
- Victoria Shanghai Academy (Hong Kong)
Here is a little statement about what I do to help my students to achieve...
• I build mathematical knowledge with clear explaination of concepts and simple examples.
• I challenge my students so that they are able to explain what they are doing, including the use of correct mathematical vocabularies.
• I use adaptive teaching styles. This means the practice can be exam-style questions as well as crosswords and puzzels.
• I use SSDD (same surface different deep) questions to help students recall prior knowledge and extend to different connected areas in mathematics.
• I target to fix errors and misconceptions in maths. Don't worry, I have a library of students' workings out so my students can learn from mistakes without making them :)
• I use exam board endorsed materials so that my students are familiar with the instructions and the expected workings out in their latest 9-1 GCSE/iGCSE/A-Level; and IB Maths AA and AI exams.
• I am an experienced and verified content creator for Kahoot! This means you can still enjoy maths even though maths may not be your favourite subject. You can find my Kahoots at (concealed information)
