About Puja
As a second-language English speaker, I understand how challenging and intimidating it may be for students to speak, especially in the classroom. The way COVID-19has affected students' anxiety and lack of confidence in classroom participation is what I want to address, and help students overcome that.

My teaching methods and techniques focus on allowing students to become effective readers and writers starting from vocabulary to analysing literary texts and devices. I prefer using graphic organisers, notes, modelling and scaffolding techniques through which students can look back on their work and reflect. A typical lesson plan would include a 'do now' or free writing to get students ready for the lesson, and consist of 40 minutes which can go on to an hour. My lessons are mainly catered to grades 6 to 8 and for English class. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I give students the chance to bring up topics that are important to them and create a connection with their lived experiences.
