About Liza
I am currently studying at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, completing dual degrees in Art History and Digital Marketing Communication studies in a three-year track (in simple terms, I am graduating a year early with two BAs).
I love being a humanities student, and my real passion lies in modernist literature and art movements from the twentieth century.
My long-term professional goal is to become a history professor, but I have plenty of experience tutoring and teaching in English classrooms. When I was in high school, I was a teaching assistant for a freshman writing seminar and later A.P. Language and Composition.

I successfully self-studied for the AP Language and Composition and AP Literature and Composition tests by formulaically breaking down essay-writing skills and how to implement them.
I have a constructive approach to tutoring and emphasize pushing my students to reach their true capabilities and challenge them to go further with their work.
Typically, people come to me for peer editing or AP test prep. Either way, I begin by assessing their existing skills and identifying areas of weakness that we can work together to bolster and improve.
I specialize in middle and high-school-aged students but am also happy to work with college students pursuing their BAs.
