About Jay
I’m currently a junior at Allegheny College studying creative writing. I’ve had multiple teaching gigs while in college and I’ll have more this summer. I write creative nonfiction and I’m currently preparing for my 80-page senior thesis that will be a collection of essays.

I’ve been doing teaching and tutoring for three years now, and I’ve been specifically doing English Lit and Writing tutoring for about two of those. Last summer, I developed and taught an English Literature curriculum to a group of 5th graders. I also developed a tutoring program for students with literacy difficulties in my local area. I’m incredibly passionate about the language arts and I’d be so excited to teach you!
