About Alayna
What sets me apart? I know what it is like to struggle academically. Growing up, school wasn't easy, math was hard, and science was hard, but I found my love for reading and writing and that's when I began to grow. Middle school and high school aren't easy, you gotta find your support system which I am more than willing to do! It is important to know your strengths and weaknesses and what you need to be successful as a learner. By knowing what you need, you can learn how to advocate for yourself and your social/emotional, and educational needs and get the support that you need to be successful. You deserve to be successful and I will support you 100% and be your biggest cheerleader! I have so much empathy and patience when it comes to helping young students. I have multiple years of experience as a special education paraprofessional and adapting curriculum to fit various student needs.

I have extensive experience working as a special education paraprofessional. I have skills in curriculum adaptation, time management, progress monitoring, problem-solving, and motivational skills
I have a strong personal interest in reading and have skills to help with comprehension, fluency, and phonological awareness. I have a passion for helping young children learn how to read and understand what they are reading and watching them grow.
I also have a strong personal interest in writing and have strong skills in proofreading, grammar, MLA/APA formatting, helping writers find their writing style, creative writing, and essay writing.
I work particularly well with children at the elementary level with their reading and writing skills. I also work well with middle school and high school-aged students with writing assignments and college essay prep.
I am willing to be flexible to meet whatever needs you or your child need. I am willing to provide help either in person or virtually via zoom, google meet, etc.

Alayna is a wonderful and smart person, she has been able to teach my beautiful angel how to add and subtract more complex numbers and even started teaching her basic multiplication over multiple sessions. She is very patient with kids as well and she has been the most effective out of the 3 tutors I've hired to teach my kid. My child had learned so much from Alayna and I hope your kid does as well!
Miss Alayna has been such a great asset to my son’s learning progress. She has extensive experience in behavior management which comes in handy when it comes to teaching tricky kiddos like mine. She is patient and kind and very flexible.

If you want to book a private classroom in a library, there will be an additional fee for reservation cost, unless you book it in advance.
