About Shermin

I am currently a 3rd year medical student in the UK. I graduated from a leading Sixth Form under a full academic scholarship. I achieved 3A*s at A-Level in Chemistry, Biology and maths with 100 UMS in every paper. In AS levels I also took physics and achieved 4As (max grade in AS is A) in triple science and maths. At GCSEs, I achieved 11A*s and have developed a solid understanding on how to study and prepare for these exams. In my lessons I will share these study and revision methods with my student. In terms of experience, I have tutored privately for over 4 years and under other companies for 3. I have well over 100 hours of tutoring experience especially with A-level and GCSE students of all levels. Tutoring is something I really enjoy doing as I love watching my student's confidence grow as they start achieving the grades they want!

About the lesson

STRUCTURE: -Standard duration is 1-2 hours -I am happy to work on improving a student's knowledge of their subject to a passing grade but also helping push a good student to achieving top results. - We can work through questions or topics you struggle with I will have a first session where I assess the level the student is currently performing at. Following this, I will make a plan on what to focus on and share this with you. I will make personalised tasks, to work through, based on the student's needs and, if wanted, homework to complete. I will also create presentations to use in the lesson which will be shared with you after as a revision material. *I have software that allows the student to type and write on the call so we can actively work through questions together I am also happy to construct the sessions based on questions or topics you need help on. I can create lessons based on topics you're struggling with or just questions you are stuck on. *For exam students, we can also work on note-taking, revision methods and exam techniques. Tutoring is applicable for students of all abilities, I have tutored students with a wide range of abilities with a great success rate in improvement. Whether it's taking a grade D to B or A to A*, I have experience in both!
